    Default Official president nominations

My 2-year term as club president is coming to an end at the end of this year. I will not seek re-election because I never intended to build a regime.

Seeking nominations for the next few weeks and will hold elections after that.

Seriously? It's like nobody in the club cares about the club anymore.

Ok, based on discussions in the admin forum, I'll go ahead and nominate Chas Hoffner. Some of you guys didn't like how he was run off, some of you think he is just what the club needs. Someone call him and tell him to log in, accept and run.

I also nominate Steve, our current VP. he's got a die hard love for these trucks.

I'll also Nominate Kimball "Chase" Sanborn. He's all about Dakotas, semi-retired so doesn't have distractions of life like the rest of us do, so he can dedicate time to the club.

I will second the Steve nomination. Due to my lack of computer skills, I will pass on the pres. nomination. But I would be more then happy to run for V.P. if Steve were to win. Thanks for the nomination. I have plenty of distractions right now with my daughters recent accident.

Very little computer skills needed. President is not an IT job. That's why we pay the hosting company

You do realize that I still don't even know how to post a pic to this site. My page pic is 5 years old and I don't know how I got it there. lol. If you still think I would do a good job, then I will accept the nomination. (would love to change pic with an updated one)

For anyone who is afraid of "managing a website when they don't know IT" I'm not an IT guy either. If you can create an email address, log in and create a user profile on a forum...then you can handle being the president, VP, etc. Seriously, our IT involvement in managing the website is as simple as sending an email or making a phone call when the website is down. The challenge has been getting ahold of the owner of the domain name, and the manager of the hosting together at the same time, because we're just a middle man. "Yo, Domain guy, need you to call Hosting guy and work shit out....the website is down" "Hosting guy...can you try to call the Domain guy? we're still down..." Moving to a domain we own ends that, and puts us in control of our own domain. We no longer have to play middle man.

Requirements for being a good president of DRTC:
have a vision, a direction to take the club. set things up like meets, raffles,
manage the board via the admin forum, strive to get help and involvement
make people want to be paid members of the DRTC to keep the forum running.

He said he "wouldn't seek reelection" but didn't say he wouldn't accept a nomination so I nominate Tom Filbert for another term.

That's a good question. How is it that so many people are passionate about the club, don't want to see it die... but nobody is willing to take the helm?

I officially nominate you slammedR/T. Come on man, your on here every single day. That's better than some of the nominations so far, they haven't even logged on recently to see that they've been nominated.

I volunteer to help moderate the forums or help in anyway I can.
