    Default Airhat Question

Need suggestions for an airhat. Will be running about 6 psi of boost, nothing crazy. I found these two and wanted to know if anyone has other suggestions or any fitment issues on an otherwise stock 99 RT RC. My factory airhat is boogered up.

    Thanks.

Haven't used the low profile Procharger hat, but I used the full sized Procharger Competition one and it worked/fit fine with my M1 on an F&B 52x55 so presumably the other Procharger one should be okay too.

However, you may have to modify the stock style hold down if you're still using it, I was using a Renzoni mount on my F&B.

I use the Extreme Velocity one also.

I got a nice custom made stainless air hat bracket from WhiteRT earlier this year. It should hold the hat nice and snug. I have heard of Renzoni but never seen the mount.

I am kinda leaning toward the Extreme Velocity. They look to be a quality piece. Thanks for the input.

I am just trying to gets all my ducks in a row ahead of time. 5 pounds from the plastic stock one doesnt seem terribly bad, lol. This will be the first time I am messing with forced induction. My BMW has a twin power turbo but the only mechanics touching it for the time being is the stealership.

I just went back and looked at the Extreme Velocity and I dont think it will work with the bracket I have. It looks to have an air splitter which would not clear the bracket I have.

I got this one. Spectre makes mostly crappy auto parts store "tuner" parts but this is a nice piece for only $100 bucks. It's casted and very solid.

Project Maverick. I feel the need, the need for speed

Thanks BigRob. Looks like a solid piece. By the way, the kegger you sent me earlier this year is holding up nicely

You can use the Exreme Velocity one with the "stock" hold down by modifying it a bit which is what I did.
