Well... I have been TOTALLY LAZY!! I haven't done a single thing towards my brake swap. :/ Weather is getting warmer now, so it won't be so cold in my unheated garage. I plan on getting out there as soon as I can motivate myself. Times like this I need a buddy to get me going...

So, I got out there and took the upper A-arm off. I heated the metal sleeves with my propane torch, then they slide right out. Talk about a sticky black mess! I moved on to the lower arms but needed a T55 bit to hold onto the front bolt. Dodge different! Four different wrench sizes/types to remove two bolts! Sheesh! Ran over to Harbor Freight and snagged a set of Torx bits for a 3/8 ratchet for 9 bucks. Onward and upward.

Well, after getting 3/4 of the way done my back decided it didn't want to play that game anymore! SO, after a week of ice and rest I tried to finish. It just flaired up all over again! DAMNIT! I hate getting old and stove-up! Finally, got everything together last week. But, I am having to take the tires off/on and grind clearance in the caliper brackets, they are rubbing on the back of the wheels. Somehow NAPA must have mixed the brackets from the Dakota & Durango, I dunno. I bought 03 Dak spindles from a wrecking yard & 03 Dak calipers & brackets as one unit from NAPA. I need to pull the tires one more time to be sure there are no rub marks. I have bled & re-bled all four corners, but still have a weak pedal. I'll keep pluggin away at it.

Using advise from 2-3 guys on the Facebook site, I re-adjusted the rear shoes & re-bled all four corners. (I installed new rear brakes also.) I now have a good firm pedal. YAY! I'll be taking it in for an alignment next Thursday.

I just picked up a Red R/T, I could use a set of steel braided front brake lines for a 2000 R/T.
