Default DIY Auto Tune Crank Trigger

Anyone have any experience using the DIY auto tune crank trigger? looks like an affordable option when using an LA flywheel.

I need to figure out if I want to mount it to a stock replacement balancer or aftermarket

Yeah I hear ya. I'm in that boat too. I'm not planing on putting much money into this set up cause it'll come out when I finish the other motor. Unless the SBM damper will fit a newer hemi? hrm. Might have to look into that. If so then I may look into a flyin magnet wheel. They seem to be more versatile with other ecms.

I thought about it, I'm going to turn the ID if the DIY autotune one to match the OD of the shaft that sticks out the back of the stock balancer, then I'll drill and tap into he back of the balancer. I need to double check if it's not steel in the back thought. If not I'll probably drill and use sheetmetal screws.

It's a shame dual sync distributors are so expensive.

I just ordered a 36-1 wheel. I might make a stand off and use the bolt holes that hold the pulley to the damper.

Sweet! When mine comes in I'm going to try the idea I had using the lathe, if it works you want me to spin one on the lathe for you too?

Do either of you have pictures of how you dealt with mounting the trigger wheel. I have the same wheel and need to figure out how to deal with this issue.
