Default share your standalone info weblinks please

I've got the basics, but I need to do more research, quickly. Share with me your most valuable sources of information on different systems. Especially helpful would be any sites/threads with comparisons between models. I need help deciding if I should just go standalone now before I start the custom tuning process with an SCT.
    Current build goals: Heads/Cam/Nitrous/46RE
Maybe in the future: blower and/or stroker, e85 and blower or HC stroker

What are ALL our options (even if they are little used in our circles)?
Which ones allow us to retain electronic transmission control?
Which (if any) allow the use of stock gauge cluster?

    Thanks
