Good luck, better off buying a new one from Coan racing in my opinion.

I'm actually looking at a new John Cope 904 with a trans brake now, I'll have him freshen up my 727 and sell it.

Cope is also a good choice, when I bought my valve body griner was done and transact was hit or miss.

Yeah, he built my 727, it's been in the truck since 2007, 100% trouble free.

Cope just responded to my email...
Looks like I'm sending him my 727 for a free freshen up (labor only) at the same time he'll modify it for one of his brakes, (if I do go with a brake) and make it fully rollerized.
    I can't use my Ultimate converter in a 904, and he said a 904 wouldn't last 10 years like my 727.

Same reason I stuck with a 727 for my car when I had to build a new one this summer, plus I wouldn't have to change my drive shaft. 727, non rollerised, billet drum, ultra sprag, rmvb, set up for a transbrake, and built for 800 hp.

I assumed it was a different length rear end.

it will be but you can reuse your shaft ends and have it shortened and or a new shaft tube. I had a "race shaft" built from the local drive shaft place using my existing drive shaft ends, the shaft tube is thicker and/or different material.
