A lot of people who like my truck always comment that it's too quiet. It had a Dynomax muffler on it when I got it a couple years ago but it wasn't a full exhaust system. It was cut off at the axle. I didn't like it because it resonated on the bottom of the bed. I had a good muffler shop change the cat to a Magnaflow, fix all the bad welds on the pipes, and put in the muffler from the Dynomax kit for the 5.2 Dakotas. It basically sounds as loud as a stock exhaust. I listened to a lot of clips on youtube from Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Spintech, and even a Borla. Honestly maybe because it's the video they all sounded pretty similar. I'm just running stock y-pipe, stock size exhaust. Everyone around here with a 90s 5.0 Mustang and even the ones with Dodge 4x4's all swear by the Flowmaster. I always thought Borla was the best sounding but Flowmaster always has the aggressive sound. Any suggestions for a simple muffler swap? I would be having a muffler shop do it so they could weld it on.
