    Default Got safety?

I got a lot of crap for having a roll bar when I was running 12s,...So fuck you.

Here's what can happen when it all goes wrong. Jim Costa, owner of Yearwood Supply hit the wall last Saturday in his 63 Vette Door Slammer, it's a 5 second 1/8 mile car...He was well off the the gas when he made contact....Car burst into flames, he's lucky to be alive with minor burns...Why? Safety equipment.

He had SFI 15 everywhere but is hands, his gloves were only SFI 5, his hands show it.

What fire protection are you guys using?

I need to double check my gloves but I have the correct jacket and I told my local speed shop I need gloves with the correct sfi rating for 8.50 certification. I need the correct pants and shoes next.

Not going to lie, I use to be one of those "fuck safety equipment" retards in my early years, but after nearly dying three times in street racing crashes I gave up both street racing and run the correct safety for my truck now.

Next safety item is going to be a fire suppression system that has nozzles mounted in the engine bay and cabin.

It's probably the best built car at the strip, he owns the speed shop, Yearwood, his brother owns the track.
He had a fire suppression system however he was knocked out...Track workers emptied 8 bottles on his car and finally got him out.

I have an on board fire suppression system, two nozzles in the engine bay, one at my feet/legs, but my jacket is single layer, gloves are SFI 5 and my racing pants are 501's.

    Time to spend $$$.

    Bullshit....

What about that 9 second car in the next lane chasing you down at the stripe at 150 mph?
What about your 11 second truck closing in on that 15 second Challenger?

3.3/5 should have been plenty but don't blame you going higher for add safety.
