Thread: Start from scratch nitrous

  1. #1

    Default Start from scratch nitrous

Being a simple NA person from yesteryear, I have zero experience with power adders. I have read 5 pages of the forum archives and as usual with the way my brain works (or doesn't) came way more confused than when I started.
So I know about colder plugs and reading them and timing take out, purge and bottle heaters. What I do not know clearly is what to get for a bomb proof system for this stock bottom end vehicle. Plates, spray bars ,sharks, nano is all gibberish to me right now. Rather than explain what stuff does, I need to know what to get for this daily driver and occasional strip visitor. I would like a 150 shot.
Truck has or will have Air Gap, Spintechs, 2800 stall, 112 /.520 lift cam w/ .218-.226 duration, IMM engine heads, ram air hood and an msd 6al box. Tune will be from Ryan.

Now you can tell me that I need a one inch spacer under the throttle body along with a chocolate bunny in the drivers seat and I'll believe you so be gentle.
Through the years, has anyone developed something that adds or takes out timing from the drivers seat at a given notice?

just make me a list please that looks sort of like this. You know, simple stuff that my brain can understand

    1. 1" tb spacer
    2. chocolate bunny
    3. baseball cap to measure boobs with

    Thank you!

    Easy...

    1- Buy a used kit.
    2- Never use it.
3- Sell it on this forum.
    4- Done.

I like this because it is simple and it gots numbers. Worry free and bomb proof. What size jets do I not run?

A puzzle for me Ryan is how do you tune for a nitrous set up? I mean it's like two different trucks no?

Holy Crap! Damn dentists or the woosies who need gas for a simple tooth pull. Luckily if I use two bottles a year, I'll be doing something. Does this stuff go bad like milk or does it lose its flatulence?
