Default Top speed of your r/t?

I went 120 then backed off on it as I didn't feel like going to jail that day.
I thought it was suppose to be limited to 112 or something?
I bought my truck 2nd hand when it was 4 years old so I have no idea if i have stock computer.
Whats the top speed suppose to be of our trucks?

Stock pcm should shut you down around 115-120, depending on speedo accuracy.

I am going to make it a mission to find out what my truck will top out in the next week. I went 120mph last time and it never cut out, Im pretty sure i caN DO 150MPH? My truck has a sticker that says it was pcm flashed in 2003, do I have the death flash? She doesnt shift till about 5700rpm in drive.

You will run out of gear before you hit 150. I tired it before (yeah I'm that dumbass) tops out at 147mph. With stock tires and 3.92 gears.

Highest I've taken mine was about 130-135ish....as for running out of gear, tell that to Rick Gindoy -- I believe he did about a buck-fiddy heading down the back side of Baker Grade heading to Vegas....was racing a bimmer IIRC.

When I had my stock 3.92 gears, I have hit 6500 rpm in third with 28" tires. The speedo was pegged, online calculators say it was 138mph.

With the 4.56s, I tap out at 6500 around 119. I have only gone into OD and kept pulling a couple times, but I never payed attention to the top rpm I hit and the speedo was pegged already. It was still pulling hard when I let off

Drops panties faster than any R/T

When I was young and dumb, I hit 148 in my 99 according to the GPS. It took a looooong time to get there, too.

My father always told me that speed kills, burnouts dont.

So I go thru a lot of tires.

Is it even possible to go that fast without the flux capacitor mod?

I remember my stock R/T being limited to 115 mph and MAN, was it ever limited. It was like hitting a brick wall when the limiter kicked in!

I've been 135+ before a couple of times in the great empty spaces of Utah/Nevada. That was before my 4.56's though. With those I am limited to 120ish on the stock height tires. Thats why I run a 29.5" slick at the track

My 94 shut down at 110mph in 94 when it was stock and yes, very viscous shut down. I about shit my pants, thought I blew it up.

Never topped the R/T out. Hell I have had this thing for about three years and only played around lightly once with an older supra. Dying to get it to the strip. They should open up a few lanes at the local airports around here and let us play. They could make a fortune...
