Well I wasn't looking for another project car at all. Already have my truck which is a 408 fun build and a 1992 3000gt SL as a winter car that scratches the itch for a fun to drive manual. Then my uncle ruined it with one call. Calls me up and tells me back in December that this older gentleman we did electrical work for like 8 years ago called him out of the blue and wanted to know if he wanted to buy his rx7 for 1000$ non running.
Went and looked at the car it's clean the paint was rougher than I remembered and wasn't the original color but it has 64000 miles one owner so I take the gamble by reading him and try not to offend and go 800$ he took it.
Trailer it home a few days later and buy spark plugs and wires do a new battery and do a unflood procedure and bam she starts right up in less than an hour. Score I have a second project crap what have I done.
Now to figure out what else I need brakes oil pan gasket, windshield wipers and welding in a cat are all I have to change to pass inspection because Maryland has completely screwed up historic tagging.
Which brings me to current the car was overboosting and lean upgrading fuel is the future but the factory ECU was lacking but Haltech makes a complete plug and play with basemap, AEM truboost and failsafe wideband. And now I have a fun start to a project car.
Pictures will follow shortly in second post
