Default M1 4-bbl Intake Manifold Machining Carb to EFI

I see that the M1 4-bbl carb intake manifolds modified for EFI are going for some very high prices now. If a person can source their own intake manifold, HiPoTek can machine the injector bungs, two fuel rail posts, and the IAT (intake air temp) port into the plenum. Indy Cylinder Heads http://www.indyheads.com/overstock.htmlmay still have some of these intakes available. The machined injector bung will have a proper radius to prevent shearing the injector o-rings upon installation where some others I have seen are machined with little or no radius. You can also use the following 4-bbl to 2-bbl adapter http://stores.hi-potek.com/throttle-...take-manifold/ with it. While the adapter can be modified for use with the stock fuel rails, the HiPoTek 8AN billet fuel rails http://stores.hi-potek.com/8an-fuel-rails/ mount to the bottom of the intake manifold for a cleaner look.

If you are interested please contact HiPoTek at Richard@hi-potek.com

Anyone looking to source their own unmachined intake let me know. I have one I'm willing to let go.

Is it the same price for the Indy 360-3M intake?

I don't know but I doubt it. The M1 carb version is currently $299 in Indy's overstock section.

Sorry, I'm talking about your machining service for drilling the injector bosses.

I have no idea but I doubt it. Otherwise people wouldn't be sending them to me for machining.

I also machine the IAT port into the plenum.

If youre starting to modify M1's then you should consider offering the ports in the rear of the manifold for external coolant lines.

OK, let me clarify. If I buy a Indy intake, send it to you for machining, do you charge the same to machine the Indy intake as you do the m1s.

Are the injector holes drilled at the same angle as on a keg ? I took measurements once, and I think it's about 15 degrees tilted with the nozzle aimed toward the valve. From what I can see in the pictures, that appears to be what you are doing.

The angle of the OEM and M1 is the same. I have a fixture set up but IIRC the angle is around 13-degrees.
