Thread: Jet ?

  1. #1

    Default Jet ?

Found this Jet thing under the hood, "Jet Chips Ignition Performance Module"

Previous owner says its been on there forever...

Done some homework and understand what it is and that im better off with Ryan's tune on a SCT... for somewhere around $450...

I read some conflicting stuff out on the forums that the PCM will eventually adjust to the Jet thing and basically just bring it back to stock...

    Is that true ?

If it's not doing anything, just take it out ?

This is for a 01 4.7 5 speed... has 1 into 2 muffler, no name on it... sounds good though airraid CAI...

I've heard the pcm relearns. Dunno if it's true, even if the pcm doesn't relearn and the gains are permanent...Ryan's SCT is still better

Some people would claim they worked, back in the day I never noticed any trucks with them picking up any power. But a lot of the Dakota people said "their butt dyno" reported a substantial gain.......

If it's the step 2 it would cut off at 115 if I'm right instead of the 99mph , it worked on a stick truck but nothing like a tune
