Thread: Firecore50 wires / group buy interest

  1. #1

Default Firecore50 wires / group buy interest

I have been talking with Richard at Firecore wires. Any interest in a group buy on wires? They are widely garnered as the best wires out there.

Normal price is 125 plus ship. Looks like with roughly 15% off we are looking at 107.50 plus shipping per set.

If you are interested just reply with "yes" below.

It is the last set of wires we prolly shall need.

Todd- will these be a direct swap or will we have to cut to length ourselves? I could possibly use a new set of wires.

Will be premade to just plug on. Gonna test them on mine to make sure they look correct.

    Black only.

I run em, but as with any spark plug wire the ends can get sloppy, I just re-did all mine.

They are 8.5mm wires. But thickness is not the end all, it's the quality of the insulation. Firecore are one of the best.

    And they only make black.

best wire out there. I bought mine 5 or 6 years ago now. Recently pulled them off to ohm check them. They are still checking at 50 ohms per foot. These are a high quality wire that lasts. If you're into running blue wires on your blue truck, or red wires on your red truck...then these are not for you.

What sold me on firecores was on the old big block truck I had, with brand new MSD wires out of the box, the plugs would 'load up' at idle, and I could see sparks jumping around my wires in the engine bay at night. I had to blip the throttle to blow it all out and then it would idle fine for another minute or so.

Only change I made was to firecore wires, and immediately the throttle response was crisper, and the light show under the hood went away.

The other thing I like about these, is that they 'click' into place with a solid feel that lets you know they're in place, unlike some of the other wires out there where you push and twist and push and you're just not quite sure that the plug wire is in place on the spark plug.

Firecores are longer than other brands making them easier to route. BTW, I've had them on my Dak for 5 years and still going strong. Highly recommended!

That's why I'm going thin. I have some spare 14 gauge home wiring that's nice and thin; it's copper too!

    Or not.

    I'm in on these though!

I replied to the FB Listing, so I'll reply with my "Hell Yes" here. Black wires are faster than any other color, just saying...
