Thread: Question about direct IMG links

Default Question about direct IMG links

    Hi,

New to posting here, was hoping someone could help me with posting direct [IMG]URL[/IMG] links? When I tried earlier the forum just shows a generic jpg icon, however when I relinked everything through Photobucket with the URL and IMG codes to embed into the post it works. I don't really use photobucket anymore but can begin using it again if necessary. Does the site require a URL wrapper to embed photos? Thanks up front for any help you all can provide.

    Example:

    URL: http://imgur.com/D7gK9QS

    IMG Embed:

    '02 Dakota R/T CC - Graphite - For Sale -
    '02 WS6 M6 - Smog Legal Boltons - 390 WHP (Weekend/Shows)

It's actually pretty simple, a Direct image link, is exactly what is states a link directly to the image.

the link to the imgur web page is http://imgur.com/D7gK9QS that will show you the image in the imgur web page

but if you right click and look in the middle of the option menu you will see "open image in new tab" which will give you http://i.imgur.com/D7gK9QS.jpg the direct link to the image

An easy way to tell is direct links always have the file extension at the end (jpeg, png, gif, bmp, etc...) http://i.imgur.com/D7gK9QS.jpg

now add [img] http://i.imgur.com/D7gK9QS.jpg [/img] with out the spaces and it will appear in the post like this

or when you upload an image to imgur copy and paste the "bb code link"

Edit: I like your truck how much drop?

ahh so it requires the file format extension and lowercase! Perfect, most of my forum experience lately has been over on LS1tech and R1-forum. Thanks Osee, appreciate the kind words and I believe its a 2/4 drop. Thats at least what I have been told, I will take possession of it on Saturday.

Was the same way Slammed, I was looking for either an IB or MG, CC in California with as low of mileage as I could find. The first one that met all of those criteria is in the photos. I love R/T's in IB and MG as well. My old Trans Am was GM Bright Blue and Blue is my first favorite with Charcoal Gray's being my second. I already have one Black car and I will not own another. Huge PITA to keep clean.
