    Default Alcohol magnum?

    Does anyone know if its feaseable to convert the magnum engine from gasoline to alcohol?

    Being a magnum has nothing to do with it, but the JTEC PCM sure does.

    But the question is....Why?

    I was driving home the other night it I just wondered if it could be done. Being the pcm would be an issue what about a carb setup ?

    Carb set up would be fine. Aftermarket ecm would be easy too. Will have to build a new fuel system and then have a motor built that makes sense to run the alcohol haha.

    with SCT, it can be done. all you gotta do is turn up the pulsewidth of the injectors and/or upgrade the fuel pump and injectors if you're making enough power that you end up maxing out what they are capable of. Alcohol has less BTUs per gallon than gasoline so to make the same power you need a lot more of it.

    Really no advantage to it unless your motor is built to like 13:1 compression and you are into race gas territory

    stock fuel line and gaskets won't like it, E85 compatible injectors also have different O-rings.

    I've done several setups on E85. No problems. I do mandate a fuel system for it though.
