Thread: Anyone have the Hurst Floor Shifter Installed?

    No, the shifter never comes close to the console. It ratchets back and forward, but actual travel in each gear is only about 1" max. Basically, when you pull back or push forward, the stick returns to about center each time. Remember, it's a ratchet shifter.

    I have the hurst promatic 2 shifter in my 90 dakota and I really like the way it works. I was really leary at first but I was able to get a new one for half price so I decided to try it and I like it.

    I have this exact make and model. I’m getting ready to put an Edelbrock top end on it. Doing my homework and looking for a mechanic who can do it right. I’ve got $3,500 saved up to throw at it. Hopefully it’s enough.

    3500 without a mech would go so much further!
    i got a hurst shifter bust not sure how to install it..did you install yours?
