    Default Divisional meet ideas

Guys, I've been talking with Ryan and looking at ideas for a summer meet.

Rough game plan: Tnt at a 1/4 mile drag strip ($10 entry fee) on a Friday night. Very lax tech. As in, they let a convertible full of kids wearing shorts and flip flops make a pass with the top down.

Good fun, but don't expect good track prep.

Saturday go to a Mopar friendly machine shop with chassis dyno. Hang out all day at the shop (gun store right next door too!) Do a cookout Saturday night, everyone can head home sometime Sunday.

Thoughts? Should make for a good weekend of Dakota fun, and be relatively low cost.

I take it this would be somewhere near you?

    I would strongly consider this.

Larue is in Marion county, about 30 minutes away from me. The machine shop with a chassis dyno is in Dayton, an hour away from where I live. We could start a day earlier and cruise around in Hocking hills for the day. That's about an hour and a half from me, between Columbus and the Ohio river

Or, we can organize a mini-power tour through the division. again: feed me your ideas. Let's get a discussion going!!

I like the La-Rue idea. Spent a lot of time at those test and tune nights when I was in high school. Haven't been for a couple of years.

Only about a 12 hour drive for me from Two Harbors to Marysville. If I could plan far enough ahead to get a few days off I'd be down to cruise down to Ohio.

The mini Power Tour sounds like a super cool idea too if we could get enough people in on it.

Definitely interested in the dragstrip. I'd have to know dates well in advance in order to get off work though.

Pay now or pay when it comes home on a flatbed. Sometimes both. Part of the game.

I'm probably out... unfortunaly... sounds like a great time, all ive done since September is spend money on my truck lol, and we've got a Disney vacation planned for October so one of these days I should probably stop buying stuff for the truck and start saving so we have some money for florida when we get there... I'm going to one of the get togethers the following year for sure, probably be caught up by then lol... I guess depending on the dates it could work out but I doubt it.. its 8.5 hours one way for me...

I'd just need some advance notice and I'd be down.

Mid to late summer. I need to avoid family vacation and the Carlisle weekend to avoid stepping on D1's toes and to allow folks to attend both who want to. Then I need to avoid the Mopar nationals in August as well. Plus I'm trying to figure if there's any room in the budget for me to go to Carlise . With me not working and paying 50% of my tuition for a second bachlors degree, money is tight.
