Pulling the tires isn't a requirement to get from A-B as fast as possible. Too big of wheel stand is just wasted energy not being put towards forward momentum
I know. I'd be happy as fuck if it launched flat as a pancake, like a pro stocker.

Pro stock does leave flat. But for some reason the front wheels don't start spinning till after the 60, mark
3 tubs and a protein bar.
Did you break something on the 408?
11.27 @ 118.232017 NM Mopar Challenge Series Champion
Broke a lifter, wiped out the #4 intake lobe on cam
My fault. I never had them rebuilt. And my spring preasures were on the high side
Is that all it hurt?
11.27 @ 118.232017 NM Mopar Challenge Series Champion
Yeah i believe so.
It ran a 11.6 it's last pass hurt. ( very next day I found the problem). Rocker wasn't moving.
I will have it gone threw before I use it again.
Oil preasure never changed

The wheel broke and got jammed up into the lifter, wedging the body of the lifter open not allowing the lifter back up into its bore. Then it became a little machine shop of horror on my cam lobe
Every season maybe 2 it would probably be a good idea to send your lifters out the manufacturer for a rebuild.
I had those lifters in my first 408 and my second 408, till one broke
I've been running on em three years now.
I'll send em off to MRL.

I use the exact same little red magnetic lights, love em.

Even hurt that thing looks bad ass
I think that's his 429, he hurt his 408.
Must be nice......lol
11.27 @ 118.232017 NM Mopar Challenge Series Champion
I just pulled out my MRLs, guy who made em said if the roller feels good, run em, but the have been in there 3 years...
11.27 @ 118.232017 NM Mopar Challenge Series Champion
I know you are supposed to rebuild them every so often based on Spring preasure, how many passes you make in a season. But I had mine in since my first 408. If the guy told you if the rollers feel good run them, it is up to you. Send them in for extra insurance or listen to him I could have had a week spring and floated it on the big end causing this.
I'm installing new springs, I'll send the lifters off.
EDIT...Stupid cell phone spell check.
