When you tuck the main hoop in, the door bars hit the arm rests, that's why I went with aluminum door panels...that and plastic burns.
But the work on Chris's cage sure shows the diff between custom and not so much.
Custom wins.

Thanks for the comments guys
I just about have the bed cover back on, and new roll pan installed. I’ll post more pictures tomorrow
Very nice! Great job on the cage.

Wish I could take credit for the cage. But a local guy named Steve Silver did the work.
Oh man...you didn't blank out your license plate.... LMAO

Well after my trip to pie Friday for some wide open throttle logging and tuning. I can honestly say it is ready to make a pass. Other then wiring up the line lock, rebalancing my rear tires, and installing 5 point belts. It is ready to return to the track. Maybe as early as this weekend. I can’t wait.
It pulls real strong!
Such a long road to completion, feels good to finally be ready
Thats awesome. Im ready to see some slips.
Can't wait... I hope it hooks.

You went to the right place for the best tune.
So what’s the dyno numbers?
Looks like the belt tried to run away lol

Chris has been tuning my truck for years through the factory Pcm with both 408's on gas and now with bigstuff3 with the 429 on e85. Always done a great job. Don't know the exact numbers. Already had engine dynoed, was on chassi dyno as a tool for tuning. Whp was at 600 and torque I think was just under 500. Again I would have to call chris to find out exact to the hp numbers. It wasn't an easy trip to dyno, on that last pull it made its best power on some changes to timing and fuel we did. (Jumped up 30 hp on last pull to 600 and something. We shut it down everything was good. Intake temps were over 200degrees. So we decided to let it sit 30 mins and cool and make one more pull, based on looking at plugs to go one step colder and turn up timing one more degree and add some fuel in a couple of spots. So after letting it cool we fired it up and after a few seconds of idling it began to knock real bad coming from down low in motor, I thought a wrist pin or rod or snapped crank, that's how bad noise was. So we loaded it up on my trailer and drove home 2-1/2 hours. Got back to shop (my shop owner, brother and myself) at 5 pm. Ripped motor out of truck pulled off oil pan to find it was only flex plate bolts had backed out! while motor was out we threaded inlet air sensor into intake and I cut my frame and welded in a half piece of chromoly tubing to clearance the passenger header. And had it back in and running at 2am. What a day/night. An emotional roller coaster. So we never got to make the last pull with colder plugs and more timing and fuel. Chris at pie thinks it would have hit 620 ish with a cool intake and more timing and fuel. Maybe one day I'll venture down for one more pull. But I could also do it at the track using bs3. But the last pull we made air/fuel number were dead on, so further dyno tuning isn't needed. I'm happy I was just about done before it started to knock, and I could get all the data I needed. I have 82lbs injectors at 62 psi and they were almost too small. This thing feels strong!
Yes, I don't know if the dyno brake came on to hard or what that time.
Man I love the stance of that thing.

I know the feeling. After I got done building mine I trailered it to him. 7 hr. Trip for me. Just to realize I was only getting 7 lbs. of boost because of belt slip. So then I completely rebuilt my brackets and had a custom crank pulley made to run the Procharger on its own belt. That made all the difference for me. The next trip out to him. I got 17 lbs. of boost. And his tunning is spot on. My trucks runs great. One day when I ad more boost I will make the trip again. It’s worth it to me.
It was a rough ride 2.5 hours just hoping for the block and heads to be still good. Great news when it was flex plate bolts
I have video somewhere of the start up when it sounded like a broke rod or wrist pin
Well shit I need to check back more often. Could’ve used your cage for ideas. I wanted to run my bed bars through the panel and not the glass too but couldn’t figure out how to weld all the way around. How did he manage to do it or are there gussets and only welded 3/4 around? The truck looks bad ass man can’t wait to see your times
Everything is welded all the way around. He tacked joints up then broke tacks, and leaned it forward to get room to weld
