Default ok ,what do you think?

i currently run a slightly modded stock air box,and a K&N drop in filter, after installing it i did notice an improvement, what I'm wondering is if a K&N cold air kit or even just a cone type filter and intake tube would offer any more gains in performance, taking in consideration the 52mm throttle body, and the m1 intake and the headers i would i need all the airflow i can get...by the way the K&N drop in filter flows 626 cfm.,which i thought was pretty high for a panel type filter....any opinions ?

If there is a performance gain, it'll be minimal where you can't feel it with the butt dyno.
If you haven't lived for something, you'll die for nothing.

If you decide to go with a tube & Cone type filter. Get a bigger filter than comes with a kit. I like these S&B filters. Usually a lot less money than a K&N and essentially the exact same thing. Then you have a filter your mods can grow into. Here's my shameless plug. I have a couple tubes I am selling for a friend. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Dako...3270043112799/

thats what im thinking too,If i do change, will be purely for visual effect....one day i'd like to dress my engine compartment up and i have to admit a good looking cai looks pretty cool..Id still like to see some dyno tests on stock air box vs performance drop ins vs cai units, hell i really would love to see a dyno run on my truck, but a dyno tune job is way outa my budget, but its on my bucket list

Any cai will be better than the stock airbox, corrugated tube, and stock airhst. Whatever you buy get one that replaces the airhst as well.
