    Default 408 short block

    for sale is a 408 stroker built for boost. built by performance only auto machine in delray beach florida they closed cause owner passed away. engine is brand new never ran. selling cause need the cash wife will not start work for a few weeks and I'm in a bind till then
    block is mounted in truck now just need to unbolt mounts and remove if sold. local pick up only. attached is build sheet from performance only. block has, icon forged pistons, k1 rods, forged scat crank, and main studs with main plate $4000,00 obo more parts to be listed soon.............sorry I did not post part numbers but short block is in truck and I had to dig through my receipts I found the PN parts where purchased from hughes block was built for boost here are the PN scat crank 4340 forged stroker crank 360 main 4.00 stroke PN sct 4-360-4000-6123-2125 , forged pistons 408/416 step dish 8.6 with 64cc heads PN- hug 2312+030 , k1 technology rods H beam 2.125 rod journals 723 grams PN hug10100k rings DRP-09024030nf main bearings PN hug 4014 , rod bearings clevite PN hug 4101HN-8 , SFI APPROVED CRANK DAMPER PN HUG64194 also have mopar performance high volume oil pump that will be sold with block IMG_10691.jpgFAD2EA1F-37A4-4BF1-BF67-C78A32AE8FAD.jpgAE05177B-C1F1-4FBA-9220-E7F76E5BC5D6.jpg

    Yeah this is a tough sell with just brand names and no hard specs and an unknown engine builder to the forum

    Dram *RIP* is hardly unknown in the world of Mopars, but the seller needs to post up specs.

    "unknown to the forum" meant i dont think many people here know who that is... maybe in the mopar "world" he might be known.. but if he has a good rep then thats awesome. Still dont know enough to send 4 grand cash across 2500 miles by any means.

    Dan at performance only was a great builder, I would have no issues with anything built by him. There is a lot of talk about him on various mopar sites. It's a shame he past away.

    could not get hughes part numbers to pull up on there web site but the crank shaft PN came up I'm sure they could cross reference if the parts needed to be validated most likely just updated there catalog

    I can vouch for David the seller, he's a good friend of mine and master ASE Transmission tech, plus owns "Big Bird". Good luck with the sale David, wish I could buy it.
