Yes, I have been thinking about it. The only possible problem with the 2-bbl throttle body and OEM bracket is it may be too wide to fit between the fuel rails without raising it, or designing a different linkage, even though the injector ports are straight up at 90-degrees, and not angled inward like the M1 or EFI Airgap. The Indy intake is also a consideration but that flows more than some people may want, or can use. I’ve made fuel rails for both of these intakes, and have researched the possibility of producing a bracket kit to allow the stock cables to hook up, but I think Todd will beat me to the punch on that one. I may still design an alternative at some point, but when Todd comes out with his, it will open up some great options with 4-bbl throttle bodies, rather than only using the 2-bbl style.Hey Richard have you looked at the Indy mod-man intake for the magnum?Just thinking out loud here.Looks like you could order one with the undrilled top and fit a 2or4 bbl TB on it.
Which hasn't changed the entire production time of them. The 4bbls have been around longer than the 2bbl and were more produced as well. So why is it that as soon as they went on back order, all of a sudden this huge demand that was never there before doubled the price of used ones, when you could barely give one away not even 6 months prior.
No one was making a bough power to justify it imo. And then supply stops. And then real data comes out that supports they are the right choice for trucks beyond basic bolt ons.

This backorder thing is nothing new and has been going on for years. One of the reasons I modified a dual quad tunnel ram with dual throttle bodies for my truck was because the M1 4-bbl was on back order in 2009 when I wanted the 4-bbl. I’ve sold a number of these since the most recent backorder in December 2014, and since the backorder keeps getting pushed back, I haven’t been able to supply any. The backorders are lasting longer-and-longer, and since Mopar has been discontinuing so many magnum intakes, I don’t doubt the M1 4-bbl may be soon, and apparently other people think so too. It’s just Mopar hasn’t said that yet, but the backorder lingers on-and-on. The volume of interest hasn’t really changed judging form the enquiries I’ve had over the years. People that want one are accumulating, and they aren’t available, so they are willing to pay more, just to get their hands on one sooner than later. I think it’s as simple as that; supply and demand. So why is it that as soon as they went on back order, all of a sudden this huge demand that was never there before doubled the price of used ones, when you could barely give one away not even 6 months prior.
LOL.
Today's 360s are yesterday's 408s. Thus, the M1 4bbl is much more relevant to making big power with the SBM platform than it ever was.

This sucks! I remember selling my old 4bbl and cheap bastards trying to low ball me at $150 Think I sold it for like $200 or $250 and it was ported and powder coated. Are there any other single plane intake manifolds out there that fit magnum motors?? The carb version still available?

Thought I'd give it a shot. Im fairly certain my kegger plenum gasket is blown as I am using oil and when I removed the throttle body, it was oily. No oil on the spark plugs which tells me the rings are probably good along with the valve seals. Thought this would have been nice at under $300, but thats how it goes.
SBCs are so much cheaper, lol. This is my first SBM and am finding out nothing is cheap for these motors, but it sure is fun to drive

LS intakes are not cheap, unless stock truck intake that everyone gets rid of.

Look at the numbers with the stock intakes. http://www.hotrod.com/features/1507-...ifolds-tested/
