Got the Eddies in today, on a scale of 1-10 my excitedness is a 900. Put in the baby cam so I can measure for pushrod length. Bolted everything back together just so I could look at it. My junk gives the illusion of speed

Thanks I can't wait to get running! But I'll leave carbonaters to the pros, and I'll keep my boost by gear, and traction control

I've been walking past the truck almost everyday, haven't worked on it in almost 3 weeks. Should be getting an update from Geoff about my flywheel tomorrow though. Feels depressing, still a million things to do and almost no ambition to do any of it. The wire tuck is going to be the hardest/most tedious part, still need to figure out what Throw out bearing to use with the Z28 trans, and if the Dakota master cylinder will have enough volume for proper disengagement. got a crank spacer turned down to fit the Comp Degree wheel, and take up the airspace in the crank bolt.

That's a pretty pile-o-parts you got there.
Looks like it's coming together
Project Maverick. I feel the need, the need for speed
Didn't get near as much accomplished as we were hoping, had my buddy come out an give me a hand, as well as my father stopped by for a bit to help as well. Spent a good 2 1/2 hrs just cleaning up the motor to get rid of the grime. Then installed the cam. We were going to degree the cam but I didn't have an extension to reach the lifter with the indicator. Ended up installing the heads to use them as a guide to locate the push rod. We then Degreed the cam to find out it was installed at 144 Degrees, turns out the cam chain was installed 2 teeth out on the cam bolt and retarded on the crank sprocket. The problem being, if I take of the crank bolt there is no way for me to determine TDC again without a piston stop. Soooooo, jumped the gun a bit on installing the heads, but I'll get a piston stop for next weekend and I'll be able to finish building the motor. This is quite the learning experience, torqued down the first set of heads in my life.
