Thread: flexible oil dipstick

  1. #1

    Default flexible oil dipstick

I installed a Torqstorm Supercharger and had to slightly bend the dipstick filler tube, now it is hard to put in and take out. Are there any flexible oil dipsticks out there for our trucks or that will work?

Hey guys I had a different problem but used the same solution. My hughes main girdle plate was blocking stock dipstick access, hughes said bend tip of stock dip and it worked but was stiff and i didnt want metal on metal grinding so i went flexible cable style. Lokar makes a cut to fit cable dip in black and chrome for the LS motors. I cut to fit mine and it worked great and looks alot better.

Mikeset runs a Lokar , maybe someone can get him to chime in, my serpentine slipped off one time and it ripped my dipstick out , and ever since then it's bitch to pull in and out

I have the Lokar flexible one on my 46'. Works really good. Big ol floppy noodle though when you take it out.

I've haven't used the Lokar. The Milodon has worked fine but it isn't a cable type like the one posted in this thread. Seems plenty flexible but I'm not using a main plate girdle so that's not an issue with me.

Works great and looks good. Chad doesn't know what he's talking about as usual.

There is no way that dip stick worked it will be too short and the dip stick tube bottom will be to fat to fit in the stock location on the block.

SON OF A BITCH!!!!! I just realized what I was looking at, this is a Milodon dipstick not a Lokar
