Maybe a little bit. But I find it next to impossible to navigate DDs full site on my phone.. this seems a little more organized

Can't say I like the look at all. Sorry I know a lot of work went into this but I'm not a fan of the look. Can we re-skin it, change up the colors or something?
Yes, but due to time constraints no templates were added. This will be great learning experience for the new webmaster to develop, since it will require a full setup from scratch. The Vbulletin default theme is the most stable template, which is why it was used, it may not be pretty, but it's functional.
However, just saying "I don't like it" doesn't tell us anything. What do you not like? What colors do you like? Etc...

I'd like to see some darker colors, the stark white background with the soft pastel looking blues and greys are unpleasant to the eye at least in my book.
Can we get the quick reply box back at bottom of threads and a link to the user cp page without having to open the "quick links" drop down. Makes it easier to navigate when using your phone.
Edit: not sure why quick reply window wasn't showing before, but Noe its there.

Kill the white background....

I have to train Bob, so, this will be on the training list.
A custom template can be used, but lots of coding will need to be completed for it to work with the mods being used. 4.2.2 has a "template creator" that is specifically just for simple color changes, basically style vars are edited in the CSS files to alter this layout.
Just won't be done tonight, or tomorrow, but when Bob and I have time to sit down and go through all this.

Too bright, other colors were better and main page used to be wider

The most visually appealing Dakota Forum is RaceMagnum. colors are easy on the eyes, no stupid wheel ICONs to take up screen space
Someone fucked up a perfectly good (visually anyway) forum, let me know when you fix this cluster fuck.

I agree isn't going to take some getting used to but I could think of a worse format

Okay so it's not just me on the colors. Other than that, after playing with it for a bit I kinda like the functionality of some things. Time will be the real test though.
