That's the size I used. Depending on your valve covers they may actually be too long. 1/4" length is what the Mopar baffles used. I had a hard time getting a couple of the 3/8" screws down all the way.

Very good Chick.... I had to log on to see the image, and now I know what you are talking about.....lmao. Should be 243 not 242.
Your problem isn't the problem. Your reaction is the problem.

Good for rocker arm adjustment nuts, hmmm. Inside the valve cover, wonder how much oil those see.
242 is going to be just fine for the little screw for the baffles.
But hey, you are the expert, not me.

IMHO, I would rather be safe then sorry. Especially for a part that's so trivial, but is able to cause a lot of damage if it let's go. I am probably overreacting and being anal about it as I went back and tapped the holes, but peace of mind is priceless to me. Just my .02c.

Let's see some more pics of these mounted!

So after a cross country drive with my truck just a little update. Before I always had oil on valve covers coming out my breather on drivers side valve cover. After installing these full length baffles, zero oil comingnout the breather.

Do you have a blow by issue normally? Or just a leaky breather?

I know I have a little blow by problem, hence the reason it burns 1 qt of oil pretty much every tank of gas.
