    Half ass work?
I have Chris @ pie building my motor now?
What would you call half ass work?
You asked for low compression, And even Brett Miller said it was assembled good right?
And you supplied the heads (already ported), intake, and throttle body right?
    So I don't get it.

I'm using Chris this time instead of my usual guy. I believe my motor has been assembled since late June (6-7 months) to build. (he broke his foot and it set him back 5-6weeks). We are waiting on the engine dyno. Hopefully Friday from what Chris told me Monday.

    You're joking, right?

    Edit:

Someone needs to repost the Throttle body install so this doesn't go any further.

I think it was things like self tapping screws for exhaust, 4" of overhang in the throttle body, the header quality, etc.....I am no engine builder so who knows how well the physical long block was assembled. I think he just means all the other work that was half assed, according to his previous posts anyway.

Either way its spilt milk now - he had it redone and is happy with the worksmanship of it so far. I am sure your motor Chris will be just fine too .... they both should be fast and make power.

Self tapping screws have NO PLACE on Drag vehicles. Not anywhere.

Well we are all moved into the house and everything went well for the most part.

Was going to start working on the truck once the finances and time settled down, but then i went and had a follow up done on my shoulder and had to have surgery. Torn labrum, so about 4-6 month recovery.

But I did get a new trans shield. I have a blanket under the carpet also, I like my feet.

I quit after tearing my labrum. Full recovery took me 1 year. My doc was James Andrews so it wasnt a surgery quality issue. I was in a sling for 6 weeks. Sleeping sucked!

Wow, I would like to see the bill on that one. How long was it before you driving and just living normal but not able to exert a lot of power?

I had my left one done about 15 years ago, but I can't remember much about it.

I was surprised I am able to sleep pretty well, wonder how much of that is the percocet.

Insurance covered most of it. Still had to fly to
Florida for it. I had my checkup on a table in BWI airport when he was here for a redskins game.

I would say it took 8 months for me to be confident and comfortable with doing normal activities. A year for the gym.

Well it has been a while since I really did anything to the truck. But stuff is moving along now. Dropped the engine after priming it. Passenger header is on (I still want to go dump these on PIE's windshield). Trans is hooked up along with the rear fuel lines to the Y block. Still a long road, but at least it is moving along. I messed up and ordered the wrong engine mount from Richard, so as soon as I get the right one back I can set the engine for good and get the other header on.

I also put on a telescoping steering shaft, I think the solid rod was just a bad idea, but I didn't know what I was doing back then. Probably still not now.

I am taking my time and doing things correctly, as in no using self tapping screws everywhere.

Yes, they are huge pieces of shit. He built them even though I had a person that does it for a living to come build them in his shop. Instead he made the biggest pile of dog shit ever and they cost me even more than a pro. Damn I am an idiot for ever dealing with him.

I had a straight piece of DD shaft to the manual rack. I put in a piece of DD that has movement in it though.

They don't look terrible from far away. But the pipes on the inside are put together lazily, the pipes coming out of the flange are at the worst angles. It is just poor craftsmanship and customer service. I should have demanded a refund and taken it somewhere else to get redone.
