So I got some 5050 LED strip lights real cheap, and my original plans are to purpose them behind projector shrouds to create a "demon eye" effect for a projector headlight retrofit I'm going to do. But I couldn't resist trying them out in other applications. Here's a quick shot of the light bar I put together under the dash, using a length of aluminum angle. I have the controller wired into the original bulb socket so it functions as normal as a courtesy light. Have yet to finish the passenger side.
and yes they are RGB LEDs sooo discodiscoboomboom
I also plan on putting them under the tonneau cover to light up the bed so I can see in there at night. The white box plugged into the dash is just the wifi bridge controller, allows you to control the lights using an android app and up to 4 zones. The wifi bridge controller just acts as a remote, sending RF signals to the zone controllers, and has awesome range capability. All this is on eBay on the cheap. Thanks China!!
