Thread: 97-04 Dakota 2wd Hemi swap kit

Default 97-04 Dakota 2wd Hemi swap kit

I bought this kit with the intentions of swapping in a 6.1 Hemi, but changed my mind. Everything was bought new as a complete kit from Schumacher.

The kit includes motor mounts, oilpan, pickup, dipstick, and hardware to swap a 5.7 or 6.1 Hemi into your 2wd Dakota.

$550 shipped to the lower 48 states

This is probably a dumb question, but does someone make a harness for this swap?

There are some that make a universal swap harness. I never checked into the wiring side enough to know if they could build on our specific platform. I have a friend good with wiring that was going to help me merge a Hemi harness with my dakota harness like most of the swaps have been done so far. The companies I know of for wiring are here:

I talked to Hotwire and for everything wired so all the gauges work, and with the new 6.1 6 speed pcm it's around 1600. I'm going to do a 6.1 swap. It will happen and if I was closer to starting I'd get this off you. Good luck with the sale that's a good price
