Yup, just pulled this one out of my truck to take a picture and then slapped it right back in.

Yeah but a 1/16th of an inch you wont be able to tell in the body lines... its still dodge fit/finish haha

But it will get you in the ballpark and certainly get the body lines to line up pretty close. I would install the bushings as is and see how they fit first then if you have the same misalignment like the other pics take them to the height I showed in the picture.

And this is ONLY for the TOP bushing on the REAR mounts, the bottom ones do not need to be modified nor do the fronts. And dont forget the inside taper needs to be modified once they get machined shorter.

There's definitely no settling. Not sure I would feel a difference between these and a chunk of steel lol.

Years ago I did the poly frame and suspension bushings on a daily driver, won't make that mistake again.

I'm actually starting to second guess the body mounts. I only did the rear ones because the stocks were shot. Thinking back that may have been when my resonance issues started. I don't think anyone sells stock rubber ones though.

Poly suspension bushings are one of the best mods I've done on both trucks. Can't speak to the body bushings, but I could see where they might increase vibrations and ride harshness inside the cabin. Poly steering rack bushings are a another must due mod, and sometimes get overlooked

How hard were the rack bushings to install?

Ride is rough as hell with body and suspension bushings. A fair weather driver would be tolerable, daily driver not so much.

With the rack still in the truck, I had a tough time. Removed would be quite a bit easier.

In regard to the rack-and-pinion bushings, just make sure you take note of the position markings cast into each bushing to make sure the front bushing goes in the front and the rear bushing goes to the rear.

I'm going to try to go back to stock rear mounts. I haven't found replacement ones so I ordered front mounts. I'll try to make them work.

Body mounts? Did you not like the ride either?

I don't know if it was the body mounts or something else but I got terrible resonance in the cab. With solid motor mounts and solid front eye leaf spring bushings I think the poly body mounts transmitted a lot of vibrations. If you ever bang on the back cab wall you will notice that it's sounds like a drum. I'm going back to rubber front eye leaf bushings and cab mounts. I'm hoping this will eliminate a lot of in cab noise.

Hmmm I'm planning on doing a 3 or 4 link with the 6 speed which is basically like solid leaf bushings.. Will be interesting to see how it does.

Are you going with solid spherical ends?
