Question How to mark threads as sold after selling an item.

Classifieds now supports SOLD thread tagging. This allows the OP, Mod or Admin to mark a thread as "Sold." This will place a red "SOLD" prefix to the thread title in classifieds and close the thread, doing so will help allow people to search through the classifieds not having to guess if the item is still for sale or not.

You can also mark a thread as UNSOLD, which just removed the prefix from the title, this can be done when a deal falls through, although it's best to wait till money is received before marking a thread sold, to be sure.

Here is how to use it,

    1. Create a for sale thread

    2. Once the item is sold you can use the "thread tools" option to set it as sold. See the option window in the below screen shot.

    3. This will put a red -SOLD- tag to the title of the thread and close it. Select the "mark thread sold" option

    4. Optional - if a deal does fall through just go back to the thread tools and unmark the sold option (or better yet don't mark it sold until you have the money for it)

If you have any questions or concerns please contact me for details.

    Thanks,
    User

Is there a way to set an option so that the "sold" threads aren't displayed on the forum?

If it's not for sale anymore, who gives a crap?

Because it's nice to see what items went for when you don't know what to ask for a price.

They are closed threads now, eventually they will fall off into the void.
