Need some advice on hauling a Dakota on a dolly with an R/T Dakota. Any weight problems with puller, transmission issues. How do I strengthen the rear springs so that I don't bottom out with load?

The eternal realist, If you don't like what I have to say put me on your ignore list
Dick your going to need air bags out back or a set of HD rear springs . I would get a large trans cooler and make sure your trans is serviced with a band adjustment too.
I take it your hauling the show truck to the Nats with the DD good luck post pictures so we can all share in the "joke"

Yup, nothing wrong with towing with an R/T, just have to setup the rear for it. Think about it, the engine/trans are the same that they put in the Rams/Durangos, which were rated to tow. The only reason the R/T isn't rated to tow is the rear suspension. There was a guy at Cecil that towed his race car to the track with an R/T with airbags and had no issues.
Does anyone have a link for Dakota airbags? What about Monroe 58630 shocks which add 1100 lbs towing? I have also looked for rear air shocks, can't find any.

Yes, Helper springs is what I will buy. Cheaper and easy to install.
Thanks to all that responded.
Why would he need to beef anything up for just a dolly? A trailer maybe, but a dolly?
