Thread: Manual valve body with overdrive

  1. #1

Default Manual valve body with overdrive

Is it possible to have a manual valve body and keep the overdrive on a 46re?

You will need a floor shifter with the manual valve body, I pulled the OD button out of the column and relocated it on the dash, some people us the button on the new shifter.

And I will have to keep the pcm correct? With the button on the dash, will the overdrive will engage but itself?

Yes you will need the PCM, and it should shift into od by itself.

While you can have a full manual VB with OD and TCC, you'll set off the MIL by eliminating the gov signal.
I'm not certain the PCM will automatically shift the OD and TCC with a major MIL code going on...

    Hi Martin...

I had the Auto flashed out of my PCM way back when by B&G.

Martin, what is the out the door price for a 46re street/strip VB with tcc mod? This transmission has a weird stutter at 2500-3000 rpm and I've replaced every sensor on the motor and it is still doing it.

The price for Street/Strip Trans package is Still $2400 for you guys.
ADD $75 to delete 3rd gear TCC mechanically. (can't lock up no matter what the PCM says!).

I really don't get on here much, but I haven't forgotten you guys!

    Thanks,
    Martin
