Im sorry, I should have added im doing the work myself, I think 5000 should be enough, to get close at least... I just picked up a 727 for 150, needs to be gone through but with a converter and drive shaft, I shouldnt have no more than a 1000 in that.. havent been able to get the truck running right since ive owned it, so I think im switching to a 4 barrel. Cant decide on a single or dual plane, guess it matters to what heads and cam...
Can you build your own stroker with a 4" crank and pistons?
If so, can you zero the deck after the fact, mill the factory heads to match with a 2.02 job and get nearly 12.1 or better? And with the right cam and possibly 1.7 rr, shouldnt that be close to 450 or 500hp? As long as I can keep the power to the ground and shave the weight at the same time, im hoping it'll be up there or even close to the top 50..
