    Default fattest rear tire

Ok so I know this has been asked several times, but what is the fattest rear tire we can go with, I have been looking for some 325/45-17 "regular street tires", not a drag radial or m&h race masters, I have my local tire store for an s/tz tire but nothing comes up in that size, any help is appreciated!

There are no good options in a 17in wheel anymore 275 wide is about it but even then there are only a few choices

I am going to be running 390/40/R17s on my truck as soon as it warms up. Those are drag radials though. For DD I plan on using nitto 450s from now on.

Wouldn't 325 have quite the bulge on them? I know I have 315 on the rear but they are on the 20" reps. I am not sure how much wider they are to stock.

20 millimeters wider section width (roughly .787 inches), height difference would depend on aspect ratio. The formula is ((section width*aspect ratio)/25.4)*2 plus wheel diameter to get the tire height. For example, a 255/50-17 is (255*.50)=127.5, 127.5/25.4=~5.02 (5.02*2)+17=27.04. You can do the math on the other combinations.

It doesn't look as wide on that top pic. So while just widening the wheel to the inside, they clear the springs? Any idea how wide the wheels were on those modified R/T's? How much room is left on the 325's relative to the springs?

    Sorry for the thread jack.

    With what size tire?

Could someone grab the measurement from the wheel lip to the leaf spring edge on a stock R/T setup?

Would these look good? As far as making it look like a 44 in the rear? Also our stockers are 17x9s, and it requires a 12" wheel,
