    Default Slipping in second...

So it just started doing it the other day. I thought it was because it might have been low on fluid but nope, it was full. The only time it slips is under full throttle, it drives and behaves normal all the rest of the time. So what do you guys think it could be? Is the transmission going out or is there some sensor in there that might have gone bad and all I have to do is replace that to fix the issue?

It ONLY does it in second, all the other gears pull and hold strong

2nd gear is the Front Band, it is known to wear out and start slipping, it can be adjusted BUT unless it a low mileage transmission its probably time to re-build.
I am not a trans expert, but I did rebuild mine, others may chime in with better advice.

Front band adjustment perhaps but sounds like you need a refresh before you are stranded.

How do you do a front band adjustment? I'd rather try that first before I think about a complete rebuild...

    Read your factory service manual.

Ok but I'd also appreciate if someone could give me some first hand advice on this. Also a couple pictures would help.

You can give a shot, but it might be a waste of fluid depending on miles and how bad this procedure has been neglected.

Do the adjustment it's not hard just get or borrow a good torque wrench to do it.

Do Flush filter change if you haven't done it.

Always Double check you TV cable adjustment too! This turned out to be my issue with 2nd gear.

I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Long time ago, 2014. No follow up if it was ever fixed. Anyone know if it was ever fix?
