Something about this being the very first post for this "new" member tells me that somebody that isn't "new" is planning on stirring some pooh.

I'll just watch and enjoy it with the rest of the guys.

To the OP, a 5.9 is the way to go...I have some seasoned heads off my Dakota R/T I'd sell, I just need to dig them up.

Well I'm trying to get around 600 hp and i was told the LS motor can hold almost 1000 hp, and parts seem to be cheaper, what's DA?

I all ready have cold air intake, spacer, shorty headers, 2 1/2 exhaust, no cats, electric fan and it's a 2000 cc

LS parts are cheaper. But there is a fixed cost (both money and time) to convert to the LS drivetrain before you see those savings.

    '99 R/T- MSIIextra fuel/spark/idle, ZCP mx422 supercharged, ZCP Tbrake 727, PPC 10" 3800, 4.10, (\/) Headers, 2.5" Duals, Truetrac, Boyd Timeless 6's, Hotchkis TVS.

Why only 600? Why not go 1069?

Tell us a little about yourself:
How long you have had your R/T?
Are there any mods to it, or is it all stock?
What other vehicles you have had and modified?
What are your plans for this build?
How much money available do you have for this build,, and how much power do you want because it's not going to be enough, then you have to trailer it to the track only, or you'll end up wrapping it around a telephone pole, or a tree.
