Long story short. Went to Englishtown earlier this year and went a dismal 13.096 @ 105.8 with a Crane ignition box that was on its last leg. It would break up bad on each shift. Replaced it and made a few minor adjustments here and there on the truck and asked Chris to make a few adjustments to the tune (He said I was splitting hairs but I knew the truck would like it) Went to Cecil only hoping for something like a 12.5 or so. First pass it came out like a Raped Ape. Never expected it to launch that hard. I left the OD on expecting to hit the OD Off button at 5k in 3rd. Well it shifted into OD before I expected and hitting the button didn't take it out. I stayed in it and said what the hell. I thought it would be another crummy slip. Pulled around, Grabbed the slip, waited a few seconds, and when I looked I went nuts! I never expected what I saw at all!!!!!! 11.997!!! I made another pass a couple hours later but spun with a 12.08 @ 112.2 I remembered to push the OD off button before the run but I didn't hold the burnout long enough and didn't let it go into 2nd gear in the box. so shame on me. Still had a 1.63 60ft. that pass so I cant be bummed out about it too badly. Will go back and see if I can get deeper in the 11s with the right burnout and maybe a few other tricks. Thanks goes out to My wife, Chas, Jim, Justin (PacManRT), Bryan360RT, and Chris at PIE for all of you pitching in to help throughout the year!
Here are the first and second passes.
