I doubt the word soon should be used, but I am praying by March of next year when MATM happens. It will be a different animal for sure. All motor cam with possibly more bump to it, more compression and a new intake.

Should lower case the s, PCMs, trivial, but I always think of PMCS when I see that damn thing.

PTC called me back today and we went over what happened to the converter after the explosion...

NOTHING HAPPENED!! The converter is in very good shape and the only wear there is would be the bearings and that's it. Tim from PTC said he saw no debris and the converter could be sent back for no charge or $100 for bearing replacement. He did however talk to me about my setup and asked me whay I was running, rpms, shift recovery, gears etc.. and he wants me to upgrade to a 8" converter and get rid of this street/strip converter I have been abusing. PTC is willing to give me $250 trade in on the new converter if I chose to buy another one from them. I am tempted seeing how this truck isn't a street truck anymore and it has a higher torque multiplier and efficiency rating.

My 4000 stall PTC converter is 8", seems to work, but I've had some tell me I need more stall. Do it, it's the icing on the cake

From what I understand the 8" converter will bet me a little more et and trap speed not much but a little.

If it's strip only, do it.

Not surprised the converter didn't get contaminated. The pump probably stopped running soon after the explosion, and right up until that moment, you were running clean fluid. Definitely was wise to get it checked out though.

Yeah it's strip only. I hear the only downfall to an 8" converter is streetability.

I'm betting that when the only "street" that's seen is the staging lanes and return road - that it won't matter much.

Well this truck used to be a street truck with it's setup. I took it off the street due to personal reasons.

Lay the blame where it belongs... it's the right foot's fault isn't it?

Hope that extra power doesn't make this one end up like the last 727

He is looking at the case thinking its a shield. I did the same thing initially.
