    Front sway weighs around 23lbs.
    Rear sway around 8 lbs.

So about .03 gain from the weight savings.

Front end will lift up easier without the front sway, but since you dead hook already, I wouldn't expect any gain from that.
If you are slipping, the rear tires may plant better, giving you a gain in the 60'.

You don't by some chance have the part number for the front drag shocks do you?

No preload on Caltracs, meaning just touching top of leaf spring with weight ON tires? (found out this is correct)

When you are giving pinion angles are you all referencing ground or DS?

I thought I'd share a visual of how well my suspension is working for me.

    1.540 60'
    WC lower control arms
    Hotchkis drop coils
Front & rear WC leaf spring hangers at lowest setting
    Hotchkis tuned Billstein shocks
Caltracs with one turn of preload
    Rear leaf spring clamps removed
RealPro 15x4 up front/15x10 out back
    Hoosier QTP 28x11.5

this is how the truck looks static

    launch on a 150 shot

i think it's pretty amazing how much lift this thing gets on launch.

Does it drop in the rear and then lift or only lift?

I wonder if it's the front & rear WC leaf spring hangers instead of using blocks and lowering leafs. I've seen a few leaf spring cars do that here, and they just leave like crazy, no front end lift, no rear end squat this and that, they just fucking explode out of the hole.

I'd love to see video of it...Must be fun too.

    Its called "dynamic rise"

But you are too old to have that problem anymore

[Kotta390] : My electric water pump puts out too much fuel at idle and is not a variable pump which makes it overheat in the summer at idle if I sit too long

I can remember quite clearly making fun of the idea of dynamic rise vs dynamic squat....
and then I went to all the trouble to make mine do exactly that - even though I didn't think that's what I was after.

I was working on trying to lift the front, and not noticing the separation it got in the rear with the Caltracs lifting the entire truck.

Just touching on the driver's side and two flats of preload on the passenger side. That's what it took to make the black marks even and the truck go straight when transitioning to traction.

I was wondering if it was a difference with the WC hangers/spring arch/length as well. I think this has a lot to do with it(as well as the Caltracs):

Going to be working on that sometime soon.

    Rear:
Shocks/springs/traction bars or Caltracs and the settings. Non Adjustable QA-1, Stock Leafs with Clamps moved, Home Made Titanium Cal-Tracs adjusted at 1/8 gap from leaf.

    Slick:
    type/size/psi: 26 x 10.5 Hoosier Slick at 18psi on durango wheels

Other things like T-Brake, 2 step Launch RPM etc: I bring rpm up until suspension loads and flash the converter from there.

Ok guys need a little help. So I'm having an issue with launch. I can launch at the same spot on the tree 4 times and have 4 hugely different reaction times. I have been very careful when doing alot of testing making sure my stall was the exact same and that my rol in to the light is the same as well. My lights are ranging from -.08x to .289 leaving just as the 2nd bulb goes out but before the 3rd comes on. I have tried ajusting my stall from 2000- 1800 to rule out the converter but had the same type of results. Now that being said my truck has almost 0 wieght transfer on lauch. Can't figure out which way to chase yank the converter or start jacking with the suspention that hooks every time. If I yank the convertor I'll be screwed for the rest of the spring season.

If you're doing everything the same, and your not spinning it's your reaction time. I launch when the 3rd bulb starts to glow or I red light. If I need to pick up my RT I roll into the beam a little. I'm a bottom bulb guy.
If your watching the lights count down, you're done. You brain is saying "OK, second bulb is out, now I wait for the 3rd bulb"...
It needs to say IT'S FUCKING ON.
