    Default Drag Race suspension thread

How about everyone list their set up?

Lot's of threads about this or that, but keep this as a list only thread so we can all learn. We have a 60' thread, but what was the set up? Just a thought.

    Front:
    Shocks/springs/settings

    Rear:
Shocks/springs/traction bars or Caltracs and the settings

    Slick:
    type/size/psi:

Other things like T-Brake, 2 step Launch RPM etc.

    Results: As in 60'

Might help everyone out since we are in the same boat, racing a nose heavy trucks. Maybe keep the 1st post as an ongoing list so things can be discussed, but the facts are always on top.

    No allowed.

    Default Harry's R/T (Brad Ortloff's old truck)

    Front:
    1. QA-1 single adjustables set WAY to soft. (These need to be changed to double adjustables for better consistency on launch, but having the 30" ladder bar rear suspension is keeping the rear tires planted even though he porpoises worse than Flipper going after a herring. The truck doesn't settle down until ~80' out. See videos).

    2. GSC Custom front coils.
    Free height: 14.25"
    Installed height: 9.75"
    Wire Dia: .680"
    O.D: 5.5"
    I.D: 4.14"
    Spring Rate: 325 lbs/in.
    Front weight: unknown
Front ride height: (With 26" tire) Ground to bottom of fender flare = 26"
wheel hub center to bottom of fender flare = 14".

    Rear:
30" ladder bars w/ QA-1 coilovers set "stiff"
    Ford 9" w/ 4.30 gears
    30" Hoosiers @ 15 psi

    Transbrake launch: 4200 rpm

    Converter: unknown

Brad's Best 60': 1.404 (Faster motor, same suspension.)
Harry was running 1.42's and 1.43's yesterday, with DA's between 1700 and 2700'.
He slipped on the first run because of a too dry burn out box and a shitty burnout. After that he dead hooked all day.

    Run #2: 1.435 10.499

    #3: 1.42x 10.51

    #4: 1.42x 10.503

    #5: 1.436 10.53

Gotcha. Well when I need another pair of slicks, I might want to go to a "Street" legal tire so I can run in more classes down here and normally they are a little faster on the big end as long as they hook. Anyways thanks for sharing your suspension info.

Ok so my 60' times are absolutely killing me. They are getting better today I got a 1.96 as a best. I noticed that nobodylisted thier sway bars. Mine are still on just because I have been to lazy the take them off. What kinds of gains will I be looking at when I remove them this week. just curious.
