    Default Top 60 foot thread

Ok, so like in our top 50 Dakota RT times thread, which does have some 60' info in it, I think we need another thread for 60' times specifically. Good 60' times usually mean a suspension that is well sorted out for that power level, and could be a good guide to figuring out what might work/not work for your intended use at the track

Here is how I will lay it out

year/cab, 60' time, tires ( brand and size) rear suspension ( IE stock leafs, hotchkis, Monoleafs ) traction aides ( traction bars, caltracs, leaf clamps moved etc ) Shocks ( Stock, Bils, single or double QA1's etc ) and power ( stroker, Nitrous, NA, Boost ) AND footbrake or transbrake.

It's not as much as you think over footbrake, but it's a noticeable difference lol.

All information is good! If you want to better your 60's this is the thread to help you figure out where to look in the suspension.

I am running 98-99 mph in the 1/4 though. Just takes me 14.2-14.3 because of no traction. (I dont have slicks, probably won't ever run slicks either, Need big special rims to clear my brakes without using spacers)

2.2-something. I've never tried very hard to lower it. I average 2.2-2.3 always on regular street tires I've never even messed w air pressure. Just roll up, around the water, scrub the tires clean and go!

1.62 60'. 28x13.5x15 E/T Streets. Hotchkis leafs in the back, but still had the OEM shocks that were toast - rear end would porpoise up and down worse than a badonk-a-donk after launch, but it didn't break the tires loose. No caltracs/transbrake/etc. And it even rained off and on that night!

[Duner] : I was afraid I was going to go too fast and scare myself. Lucky for me - the DA rose up to save me.

[Kotta390] : Oh that's right! Well FML.....Looks like I am getting shafted because of my bore size

[BlakDak71] : I don't run oil, I run a special blend consisting of Hellman's mayo and the tears of a pregnant mermaid

[Kotta390] : My electric water pump puts out too much fuel at idle and is not a variable pump which makes it overheat in the summer at idle if I sit too long

[KotaRT] : Ed, you can have cake, as long as I get something in return
