Yesterday I picked up the converter from the converter shop, installed the 727, cross member, got the converter bolts in, measured for a driveshaft. I had mom on the ground in the street working the jack, haha. Need to put on the starter/shield, flush the lines, figure out a driveshaft loop and do the shifter linkage and blanket. I started working on seat brackets the other day, want to get them in and seats installed before I make shifter brackets, since the seating position will change drastically from stock.

Put tires on the wheels. Going to fit them on the truck tomorrow. Will probably look silly with a huge rake. But I will live with it.

I'm at a point with this hobby where I don't shortchange anything and I don't want to do anything twice. Why switch to a rear cable exit transmission linkage setup, run a cable, cut a hole in the floor, but then NOT mount the shifter in it's final position? The swap is not exactly remove and re-install like the 46re would be.

Today I flushed the cooler lines and bent the rear one to fit the narrower case of the 727. Mocked up Alan's driveshaft loop, should be right at 6" from the front u-joint, I'm going to run it. Ordered parts to put the top end of the motor back together. Still shopping around for driveshafts.
