If you/anyone hasn't and you get the chance, go see the 9/11 memorial in NYC. It's incredibly moving,,, it was real 'dusty' when I visited.
I visited there while they were working on it. They had just dug the foundation for it and were pouring concrete. but i have seen pictures and did a 12th grade report for it before i went and visited. The church that is still standing the was like right across from the towers is chilling when you walk in. Not a scratch on the stain glass in that church. Crazy.

Had some tailpipes put on in the last 24. Just too loud in the cab for me with dumping right before the axle.

I was in the towers Labor Day 9/3/2001 . Smelled the wires and plastic burning for days.have not been in the city since. But I’ll google the history of the church. That sounds amazing.

Mine is stuck in the garage. We have had a 10x28 foot storage unit in the driveway since the end of November. The water filter in our fridge burst and flooded the main & basement floors. We are finally back to about 98% completion. We've been working our butts off emptying boxes & moving furniture the last two weeks! Good to see you've been working on the R/T, Ernie.

Ordered 16 ngk plugs from HHP for the Jeep , so Fck it why not pick some up for the Panty dropper, I had 3923 autolite in there and they were still new, looks like #4 was the only one fouled up, so I gapped these 40, threw some anti seize on them and in they go !

Not so much my R/T, also not so much R/T exactly but nevertheless, I did some work on my friend's mopar today. Investigated root cause of excess shift play in his SST equipped TKO'd '71 Cuda. The SST linkage design for the E-bodies is inherently flawed, primarily where the offset linkage clamps to the modified shift rod. I made a simple cut to the piece that attaches to that rod allowing it to clamp down for zero play. Seems to be much improved.

In related news, I also stole the Hurst pistol grip shifter from his car for reference in designing my own billet pistol grip shifter for my truck

So decades into dakotas, I finally picked up a snap on mt2500 along with the right key and cartiridge. Set my fuel sync, was at -15 after install.

Been welding up my SS exhaust piece by piece and its up to the muffler, will have the shop hang the muffler because it sucks working on my back.

Took it out for a spin and its definitely out of tune. I am pretty sure I put stock injectors back but I need to put my AFR gauge on and go from there. Msaine transmission will be next.

It sounded good first few times I fired it up a while ago, but now it has a tick I dont like after sitting for 6 months, hopefully not a lifter. Id like to get it running good and go back to DDing it (currently DD a '20 wrx sti and '20 f250)

Honestly, the way my work progressed in thr 2 years that it took me to get to this point, next time it needs something, or a new engine, and I am going to have a shop do it. I should have spent 10k on this and been driving it during this time rather than doing it myself. I work on enough stuff and this project was more frustrating and tiring than pleasant.

I might have stripped some intake manifold bolt holes in the head becauze some website listed 35ft/lb for the bolts, and I must have been too tired to think twice over it until some stripped. Magnum RT heads. No biggie, can have a shop fix those later, or maybe if I have to redo this engine, just go with aluminum heads instead.

BTW did score 95/96 Dakota manifolds, and the flange on it is huge indeed. I dont want headers, these are much easier.

Also if someone needs a snapon 2500 in L.A., reach out, can use mine anytime.

The 92-93 magnum manifolds were the ones with the larger outlet.

I have a pair on the shelf I picked up in 99. I ground/finished them smooth, ceramic painted then stored since I went with headers.

Ouch.. at that price could find an entire southern rust free box. Main reason when I wanted another R/T I didn't even look locally. Wanted zero rust to deal with.

This is why I am doing most of the pre paint work on my own. I found the rear of my bed needs re welded. I think the body shop would've missed it!
