It's touted to flow better at low RPM which I'll need in the summer. I do know the impeller is unlike OEM. The impeller also sets inside the timing cover much closer yielding better pressure/flow. I didn't mind spending the extra $$$. Reviews are good on them.

Is there any reason to go with this pump rather than an electric other than the fact it's mechanical, and much cheaper?

Rev limiter? that's what valve springs are for!

Just wanting to keep it simple. I've throw enough money at my 408 build.

Since the truck will be down for the rest of the winter I'm debating ,1. on exhaust, Spintechs or super 10 flowmasters? 2. Switch back to my 28-3200 stall or leave the big 3800 billet in there?

I HATE!!!!!!!!! flowmaster mufflers, spintechs or hooker aerchamber or dyno max ultra flows are the best in my opinion.

I liked the dual 2.5" flowmaster delta 40's that were on my R/T, my 4.7 truck has a Single in dual out flow master and it sounds like ass, it flattens out above 4000 rpm.

For a bracket racer, electric is the ONLY way to go. I like to hit the water box at 160* everytime, and an electric pump and fan makes it easy.
    For a street/strip...Mechanical.

The control arms don't get any closer to the pavement when the suspension compresses or going over speed bumps, elevation changes.

I'll have to say I hate how low my X brave hangs, and it's nowhere near that low , they hit on speed bumps , going in and out of gas stations is the worst, out sideways super slow

Hey Ernie, I don't know how low your truck sits but I exploded a pic of your truck as best i could and it looks like you have the front x-brace legs mounted beneath the OEM trans crossmember lip instead above? It's hard to see but it kind of looks like it may be.

Are they supposed to go above the trans cross member ?

Edit : well fck me , I went back and looked at old pics and they were on right before, this last time that I pulled the trans I must of installed them wrong !

Yeah, that's what I thought. You're not the first one to do that and probably won't be the last.

Ill see if I can get a pic of it from the underside.

Exhaust is just temporary like that till I get my fuel cell in. Then it'll be going up and over the frame and come out of the box like the vipers.
