Why the tall PCV Valve? I would ass-u-me, so that braided hose doesn't rub on things?
That is the HiPoTek PCV Valve Baffled Canister: http://stores.hi-potek.com/hipotek-p...fled-canister/

I designed it to passively return oil vapor back into the engine without using an oil catch-can that requires periodic draining for it to function properly.

    That's a great idea.

Replaced the secondary fuel pump and some bad injectors. New plugs and rotor, cleaned the wires up and checked for cracks. Bled the fuel system at the rails and she fired right up. I had to adjust the fuel pressure regulator but i cant remember where its supposed to be set at??? Settled with the 42 psi and just took a quick ride down the block with no boostIts been at least 4 years simce i drove this sob. Slow road ahead working on everything till shes 100 for the road again

Good for you! Sometimes a guy just needs a break from the project or projects! I personally don't like having mine apart/broken for any length of time. I want it ready to drive come springtime.

For me i had 2 brand new vehicles in the drive and kids keeping me busy. Then a new neighbor nextdoor moved in and bought a 98 chevy 1500, shaved and lowered for their high school kid and they wouldnt sell it to me. So i figured i better to work on this thing.

Made the handles and stand for the Pexto finger brake. I made the stand wider and heavier than the original stand that could be purchased for the brake. I placed the wheels on outriggers to widen the stance a bit more. The original stand was lighter weight, tall, and narrow, and there was a danger of them tipping over if not bolted to the floor. I’ll make the back-gauge and maybe some counter weights later in the year.

A good sized brake to have in the shop.

Yeah, I thought so too. I think this will be a versatile tool at that size.

I'm glad I put it on casters with ball bearings. It rolls pretty easy at over 1000# I need to upgrade the wheels on my cherry picker now. You pick up a big block with automatic trans and you can barely maneuver it around. lol

Changed out the upper and lower ball joints.

Walked to the back of the shop to look at it just sitting in peices. Going to get the suspension bolted back up so I can roll it around atleast. Need to turn over the motor and oil the cylinders. I need to have a daily driver that is actually enjoyable to drive. Getting pretty tired of the lifted ram

Dropped off my parts hoard at the engine shop last weekend. Starter's just about dead in the Dakota and with the long tubes it's a pain to replace so driving my new truck in the meantime. I need it to pick up the new axle this weekend so hoping it doesn't decide to die on me 3 hours from home lol.

Yea, mine’s in pieces as well. Slowly getting there. Nice to have another Dakota R/T as a daily. Keeps my itch away.

Ordered new clear hadlights/corners for the daily. Maybe I’ll clean up the older yellowing ones someday. Or just chuck them. Can’t see very well on my morning commute to work.

I spent the morning getting little dots of tree sap off the roof of mine. DOH! I tried the old stand by,Turtle wax tree sap/tar remover first, didn't touch it. Sooooo, I moved on to popping it off with a plastic razor blade. Then, rubbing the spots down with WD40 to get the smears off. I'll buff it out when I get a chance/good weather.

Go Gone Pro-Power works great for that. Soak it for a few minutes, then wipe off.
