Took the truck out of the garage today, drove around the block for a bit to stir up the fluids etc,,,still drives good and strong

then noticed some coolant weeping from the water pump inlet tube again, I've had issues before and the last time I replaced the o-ring I gooped some RTV on it to boot. I think this time I may just bite-the-bullet and pipe thread the sucker with a proper nipple, anyone else have the same grief? I seem to be unlucky when it comes to messy leaks. Also have a small oil drip and can't figure out from where, might try changing my valve cover gaskets next too.

Dunno why, but I haven't had any problem with that connection. Still using the original tube AND O-ring! I have a rear main seal leak from over pressurizing internally. Lost a valve cover cap and didn't put 2+2 together. It blew the cap out! Now I run a catch can.

Ordered a new trans pan cause I'm pretty sure mine is warped. New gasket did not stop the slow seeping out the front pan line....

Found out the fun way that my exhaust was a wee bit rusty. Send it hard leaving my dads place and I guess it let go.....I did notice it sounded a bit off the last day or so

Looking at these pictures makes me glad I got a R/T out of Texas and don't drive it in the winter.

Yeah....unfortunately the rust had started even before I got my hands on the truck, so I don't mind too much driving it in the winter....they're usually pretty mild up in Vancouver anyways. Previous owner used it as a construction work truck for a number of years so the damage was already done

Still love it, never getting rid of it, and already saved it from salvage once. Maybe one day it'll get a full proper resto, but till then it's my non-summer daily while the srt-4 sleeps.

Hotchkis coils in the front, Belltech leaf springs int he back. Still a little high, but I didn't want to do hangers (or blocks) in the back and already had the Hotchkis springs.
