Default vid of my fastest autocross run of the day...

last run of the day and my fastest time. this was run 9 and i was supposed to get 12 runs. i say last run of the day cause this run took out the power steering high pressure hose or pump. you can hear it whining in the vid. lol. exited the stop box and had no power steering without giving it some rpm's. kinda funny since i have a power steering cooler sitting in my room waiting for me to put it on.... figures.

run was 48.2 seconds... its 720p @ 60fps so it looks faster than it was, but its not. breaking the start beams at :02ish and the finish beams at :50ish lines up with the time i ran.

Very cool! That brings back memories of my autocross days. I then went to road racing, and you wouldn't believe how it helped on the big track. "In order to go fast, you must first go slow" always is in my mind. I still walk the race tracks, like in autocross, just takes a lot longer.

No 2 hands on the wheel, or do you need to shift that much? Harnesses? Oh how they made a huge difference when I installed them.

    Have fun!

Yea, people comment about that on some of my in car vids. It's a bad habit that I picked up from learning to drive on manual cars... I only do it on autocross tracks for some reason. I use two hands and the paddle shifters on road courses. Not the safest habit.

an yes i am running harnesses, corbeau cam lock harnesses with a harness bar.

We would consider this if there was enough interest.
    There isn't.

We can't even get a majority of folks intersted in drag racing at a national meet anymore.

    It sucks.

Tell you what, once I do a couple little mods to my truck to make it not suck quite so much (get rid of under-sized bald front tires, get not-broken shocks), I think I'm gonna try me an autocross. I once mentioned the idea of autocross in the Dakota to an SRT engineer on Facebook, asking if people would think it was silly, and he said they usually do until the first time they see one make a pass.
