Thanks. I posted then no further responses. I'm not very optimistic - but it didn't cost me anything.

Tell you what, all this bullshit just about makes you want to toss the JTEC into the nearest river, and go with the classic Arduino + nerdy 14-year-old combination. Just give him the truck and some Mountain Dew and let him loose for a week.

1 of the following 2 lame ass excuses.

1: No one has cracked the code.
2: Not enough of a Market for it???

I have a new update on the HPTuners for Dodge. They released a new update 6 months ago which allowed them to finally start doing some dodge related coding that they couldnt do before.

Just this week I got an email for them to use the newest beta release to read my pcm and send them the file so that they can start mapping it. They did say they arent too sure how far they are going to go with it but that it depended on demand. If any of you guys who dont have an HPTuners device live around by me in ny or ct and would like to come by, I can read your pcms and send them the files and that way they will have more to go by and hopefully if they see more demand they will do some more advanced tuning for us.

What is it that you are looking for that SCT does not currently do? Serious question as there seems to be quite a bit of misinformation as to what SCT can and can't do.

HPTuners is a godsend for GM. I question it's use on JTEC vehicles however.

I was around GM stuff on a daily basis when they first came out. Even their GM capabilities were questionable then.

From my understanding: (I could be wrong) they were a sister company to LS-Edit. But it always seemed LS-edit was way ahead of them in the game.

That said if they are going to do Dodge Tuning I would make sure they have something up and running that covers all the bases that SCT does if not more.

Hp tuners needs to hurry up!!! I got a 2010 ram that I'm waiting on to tune I'm so over the torque management/ traction control. Everytime I stomp the gas and brake the tires loose just for a second it kicks in and kills the power and sometimes kick me into 2nd gear even if I hold the traction control button for 5 seconds like I was told. I know a canned tune will take care of all the problems that I don't like about my truck but, after tuning my dakota with hp tuners I won't buy another handheld canned tune I'll wait a year for hp tuner to release it for dodge

theres lots that SCT doesnt do. being able to datalog, being able to set the torque converter lockup above 5100rpm, being able to have the trans temp light come on at something other than the 265º factory setting, being able to have 1 tuning solution for all the american cars in your house, the overall easyness of the hptuners interface for even amateurs to be able to datalog and make changes on the fly without even needing to go to a dyno and spend all that $. hemifevers done an amazing job getting my tune spot on and the truck runs awesome but theres some things that simply cant be accessed or changed within the sct program that once u tune a gm with hptuners, it spoils u and you want those capabilities on dodges

even once hptuners becomes operational on dodge, id still continue to get my tunes through hemifever cause hes an amazing tuner but id do the other minor adjustments on the hptuners program so i wouldnt have to bother him for stupid stuff

Hptuners just released tuning for the 2004-2006 NGC3 pcms so like the chargers and 300s and srt4 stuff. Our pcms are coming next. I was able to read the pcm so they are now mapping it and soon we will be able to write also. nice that the best tuning solution is almost here.

Chris that's what I use on my dakota, it will open new levels of tuning on the magnum motors for sure. Only thing it really can't do is have the ability to tune each individual cylinder like the FAST does

They take a long time to add new platforms. It took years to get them to support cavalier and other gm 4 cylinders. I want to say our obd2 dakota's are now do able. I'd have to check on their site again.

Only 4.7 dakota support according to their site. http:// http://www.hptuners.com/prod...e_vehicles.php
